At first it was pretty decent, a lot of fun for what it was and could actually be played on your own. That was the problem for me though when I started to drift away from solo play, I started to merge into the community which is the way MMOs go right? You'd think that was the point where the game got really good but nope, it was the complete opposite. Spent half the time going up against people with paid-for weapons and gear so powerful they'd mow you down in a second flat, and most of the people were complete asshats so naturally it's an MMO to avoid.

Shame really, it's the only MMO of it's kind I can think of and has massive potential.

Well I play this game for 2 years now and I still enjoy it. (I left the game for 3 months and came back)
I also play on Patriot EU2, which clan were you? and who were you?

Hyburnate in Metropolitan Police Service (You'll probably know Petra/Ringman >.>) (Clans disbanded now with most of our members turning to another clan however some to WASP)

... It's not full of cheaters people just whine a lot....

... GamersFirst (now Reloaded Games) bought the game and worked on it, launched it no better than what it was, cheaters invaded...

One of my best friends and another have been playing this from release and they've spent what I consider an unholy amount of money on the game; they did highlight that the game has had a few one time only special events, events which you had to pay to get items. Some of which were outright pay to win, apparently it wrecked the balance for months until it was nerfed.

Even when I played it from beta>release>rerelease it was the same tosh, cheaters were obvious to see, no anti-cheat system and I hate to say this but, whenever you see a game full of russians my memory goes back to looking at pbbans lists with most of them being russian :|

I'm actually going to give it a go with them soon just to see what's up, I wholly expect to see nothing has changed.

Try a US server, best communities and they're not as good. Patriot (EU2) is the worst server for cheaters and when you play on there for years running you seem to be used to fighting bots so fighting actual players is more than fun

Yeah, I seen that like the Easter event you have to buy an outfit to take part in an event which is a little silly... I have spent quite a bit of money in the game, but managed to get the most over powered without a doubt weapon in the game for free

It had its fun moments, but looking back on reflection it allows me to get a greater look at the game and community

APB is full of hackers. Loved playing it when it was released by RTW - shame they went under.

The concept of the game was awesome - it was just implemented wrong tbh.
