wondering if anyone can help me.

I have just brought an ocz agility 3 240GB SSD. After installing windows 7 (twice due to problems) I have started to load up selected software/drivers onto the drive.
The first problem i had was the nvidea graphics driver. I tried to install the ASUS gtx 580 driver from ASUS. however it kept crashing the system. In the end i found my driver disc and reinstalled the driver from that, and all was well.

Then I tried to install norton 360 (from a disc) to the ssd and you guessed it, now it does nothing but crash my system! I have tried loading up the old operating system (on another drive in the system) and deleting the norton files but it hasnt seemed to work. I cant load up the ssd to remove it properly as it just crashes.

Does anyone know if the drive is faulty? I could understand 1 corrupt data from the internet, but 2 corrupt softwares from different places? Please help, I'm beggining to think the ssd wasnt a good idea :(

i think the reason it wouldnt accept achi is cause it changes all disks attatched to that system. i curently have 3 other sata drives attatched that all state sata (not ide or achi). Therfore changinging the new drive to achi changes the 3 original ones to achi (which they arent set up to run as).
To be fair the mobo is a couple of years old. Its an ASUS P6T Delux V2.
