Hello, I was wondering whether I could get some recommendations on a monitor for my new build. I did try visiting my local stores, but all of their monitors are very basic. Here are my requirements:

  • Budget: £250 but happy to go above this for future-proofing purposes (I have the funds at the moment)
  • Prospective Resolution: 2560 x 1440, but probably happy with 1920 x 1080
  • Size: at least 24"
  • Aspect Ratio: Not Sure
  • Adaptive Sync: Not bothered, but my graphics card is and will be NVIDIA
  • Other features: Flicker free technology or equivalent (I have a minor eye condition and this helps my eyes getting aggravated); Adjustable stand
  • Usage Type: The monitor will be used for gaming, but also some productivity (InDesign and Photoshop for work) and watching films. So all-round use. I don't require any advanced gaming features. I mostly play RPG's and some action games like the latest Resident Evil and Tomb Raider. I don’t play a lot of shooters. My current graphics card is a Geforce GTX 970, but I'm looking to upgrade to a 1070 or 1080.
Thanks in advance for any recommendations. I made the mistake of buying a "cheap" monitor before and it hasn't held up well.
