Allocated car parking spaces - and someone else in yours....

How do my fellow ocuk'ers deal with this issue, or what would you do?

Underground space I rent beside my office, and today someone has parked a hire car in there so I can't use it. I can't block their car in without blocking other people also.

This is just one of those silly things where by I just have to deal with it and pay and display on the street (£15 a day though) - but is there anything I can, or should, do about the vehicle in there?
 
I'd personally let all 4 tyres down if I couldn't block them in. Then leave my number saying I'll lend them a tyre compressor when convenient to me. Doesn't cause any damage but causes enough inconvenience that they won't do it again.

As above, my flat has allocated space and when someone parks in it i block them them in and leave a nasty note its private property and pure ignorance but thankfully it happens rarely. If i had the option to call someone who would forward them a bill i would do it without a second thought

Its an offense though. And could possibly be theft.

Wont the weight of the car possibly cause damage to the sidewall if flat
 
I left a note - I obviously don't want to damage the vehicle, as then it's pretty obvious when I park there almost every day, that my car would just become a target to them if they live locally / are a resident of that block etc.

I can't find any details for anyone I can contact about it on any signs in the car park, which is annoying. There is a barrier you need to use a token to open to get in or out, and each space has a number on it (that doesn't relate to the flat it belongs to). So this person must have gained entry by either being a resident or by knowing someone that lives there I guess.

Is it air or have they had them filled with Nitrogen?

Did they pay for that air to be compressed when they filled the tyres?

I'd say that they would own the air and if you permanently deprive them of it then its theft. Just because they could get some more "Air" for free doesn't mean it wouldn't be theft.
 
Actually mattyg you're speaking utter balls. It's not theft. One does not own the gas in ones tyres. However you can get charged for interfering with a motor vehicle.

edit - if your referring to theft of air. then yeah ok, certainly wins this week.

I doubt a courtesy / hire car Kia Ceed has nitrogen in the tyres to be fair.

So your saying we can't own the compressed air inside the container (Tyre)

In that case could you walk into overclockers and let all the air out of those compressed air keyboard cleaner thingy's
