alloy refurb?

no harm in asking for a good will gesture is there ?

I agree he has no legal right to return the car or anything like that. i was just suggesting that maybe a polite request might get a contribution towards it :)

lol "Yeah mate, I came and bought your car off you the other day and I'm now the legal owner, the wheels need refurbishing was wondering do you want to send me a cheque or should I come collect the cash off you?"

Aye right, if someone rang me up and said that to me, I'd say two words to them, and the second one would be; off, then hang up the phone.

yes

and its the lacquer that peels / chips away that leaves bare metal exposed.

This bare metal then oxidises and goes that sort of white colour that makes them look so unattractive.

I see what you mean. Thanks for the info, was a bit unsure if polished wheels needed to be lacquered or if there was something else put on the wheels.

Give Rimstock a call in west brom - Took a week to do mine (strip, machine, prime paint and lacquer) but now look like new again, Cost me just under £200 and that included £20 to remove old tyres, do the work, fit new tyres and ballance them up.

Oh and they loaned me a set of wheels for free why mine were being done.

They do diamond cut finish too.
