Hi, does anyone know a company that repairs alloy wheels that buckled? I know the best thing to do would be buy new new wheels but that would be too expensive (£1300) as they are quite special wheels for the car.

Someone was telling me about some companies that can sort it out to a professional standard? My wheels are ever so slightly buckled but they need refurbishing anyway so i may as well get the lot done, and i'd be looking to sped £250 or £300 for a very good job.

Any one got any recommendations?

thanks.

How did they get buckled in the first place?

Depending on severity, I'd imagine that there's a fair chance of irreversible damage in terms of fatigue/cracking bearing in mind the nature of some alloy metals. I'd bin them for peace of mind, but if you value the wheels more than staying on the road, do it ;)

If it's slight enough, you may have no probs.

There's a place called Pristine Wheels in/near Woburn Sands who've been recommended to me by boss where I used to work. :)

cheers folks, it's just general usage and age I think. The roads of Sheffield don't help either.

Matteh - warped slightly.. They balance out so I don't get any vibrations etc.

The material of the wheel in general is very good, there are no cracks or anything like that.

Wouldnt mind knowing this, my spare alloy is a little buckled so i get a bit of vibration in the wheel when i get to 70+, i could use it in the case of an emergency but even so i wouldnt mind getting it sorted without spending £160+vat for a replacement

cheers mate, sent em an email.

1) asked if they do the whole wheel and remove any buckles.. if they do i'll send em there while my car is off the road (engine swap) :D

Are they on road towards Frost's garden centre from the high street?

Just rung em, they will collect for free and re deliver for free and refinish the whole wheel and repair any flatspots or other damage for £300 (max, assuming all wheels are damaged). This includes VAT and all the tyre fittings etc!

I'm quite impressed with that. He said I will be impressed :D
