Alloys on my E36 328 Sport

Go for the refurb. Fake rims are garbage (Including those godawful M3 reps above, which are so blatantly fake they don't even say BMW Motorsport on them as per the genuine ones) and the original BBS wheels look great.

A by miles

if getting a company to do it, you'll probably be looking at around £80 per wheel if they are splitting, painting/powder coating the centres and polishing the rims then re-assembling. Prob looking at the guts of £400 once you add in the cost of removing/refitting tyres etc

so all in all 200/300 cheaper than the alpinas and look a million times better

I quite like the BBS alloys, have never been a fan of the Alpina alloys if truth be known and why have Alpina not changed them - or have they?

The early M3 (pre Evo) did have these, but they weren't staggered. 8.5" all round iirc.

The ones on the latter Evos (like my red one in the pic) were polished and didn't have the 'Motorsport' engraving. They did have the little M badges thou.

Mine were 8.5 front and 10.5 rear

edit - the ones in whatleytom's pic are even earlier versions from around 93/94 I think.

You're right, I think I must be talking out of my a&se.

It was soo long ago I cant remember now. The tyres were definately 245/40s thou. I'll need to check on the rims.
