US: Almost Human

Too stupid, the ordering absolutely doesn't help as The Wall and chromes, are something that seemingly were introduced fairly early and not quite as late and out of the blue as it might seem... but then having seen the later episodes we know that the wall and chromes, and the ambush story arc are few and far between.

It's like a comedy show which brings up an entirely new "funny" trait of a character, something they've apparently always done but never been mentioned before, then that character never does again.

IE it would make more sense to let it be known she was somewhat genetically engineered over time and eventually at some point make an episode specifically about chromes. In this case it's something we never knew, was never hinted at, doesn't seem important, was done badly and cheaply for one story line and will probably never come up again. Terrible writing, a lot of the show has been similar.

Even in proper order we can see that The wall is only mentioned in one or maybe two episodes, and with painfully "lost-esque" style attempt to induce intrigue, mention it but don't explain it because.... retard writers. There have been basically what, two/three episodes that cover the main arc of the show and because or the ordering they aren't clearly connected.

Fox are stupid, but the stories are badly written and the ordering hasn't massively hurt the arc's, the arc's being weak, barely played on and badly written means it hasn't really mattered in which order they are shown.

I basically stopped watching this. I missed an episode or two cause of script writing and film making for uni. I saw this thread and realised that I don't even miss it. Oh well.

you would probably enjoy it more in order lol :P

I can't believe it's been out of order for all these episodes when the exec producer on twitter said it should only be for the first 7 or so

This starts on Watch next week I think, wasn't sure about it buy judging from the posts here I'll give it a go. Providing I can spare the HDD space on my Sky box, that is. So much to get through.

Oh well... so much for a 'relatively' decent sci-fi show lasting more than a season, shame really as I thought the chemistry between Urban and Ealy was pretty good.

But then it is fox and they just manage to screw up anything sci-fi these days while keeping rubbish shows that are well past their sell buy date....

It was really really poor. The season arc was non existent, the chromes(been a while think that was what it was) popped up out of nowhere, felt stupid and made no sense in regards to never mentioning them before and suddenly they were everywhere.

There was no real progression, very poor writing, and so many random utterly out of place things, not from ordering, but like randomly el robot man will just go and smash a truck over. The general logic of the show was crap, the exceptionally limited main cast and the barely using the two other detectives.

Shame as it clearly had a real budget and decent cgi, just crap writing in general.

Why can't they just make a show like this and put some damn thought into the stories/script. Glad it's cancelled as I'd prefer they put the money into a different sci fi show that might be much better than decide that a poop sci fi show is good enough for the sci fi fans and not try better.

Out of order eps didn't help, but it really wouldn't have been better in order. A couple moments might have made a little more sense, early on the two leads suddenly being best buds made no sense, but realistically it effected the one or two scenes that were funny anyway, just felt odd, and would have felt less odd in order. The episode wouldn't have been any better in order though.

um chromes were in it from the offset... Minka Kelly was one and they were basically designer babies.

There is progression but the series was more per episode in nature, kind of like csi, but with a little overlap, that overlap is pretty much lost due to the ineptitude of fox scheduling.

Not saying it was perfect but it had plenty of scope to work with.

cancelled it was a nice premise and idea but lacked any direction + bet the budget was stupid high and most likely the main reason it got canned.
