Almost natural selection

Some kids around here were caught drinking car battery acid and eating the contents of fireworks to get 'high'. Police said they couldn't find anything to charge them with so will be letting them all off later tonight.

Seriously? Are you guys really this gullible?

Here's what I think happened:

"15 year old boy was playing with fireworks and decided to put one in his mouth as a joke. When it blew his hand off his first thought was "crap, mon's going to kill me for playing with fireworks in the house" so lied to his mom about what really happened and followed his lie through to the papers".

Headline should be "hahaha, naieve average 15 year old boy makes typical 15 year old boy mistake and it cost him".

I can picure his mate now "I dare you to put it in your mouth".
 
Reminds me of that video on break.com (or Break's Youtube channel) where teenagers staged a sci-fi/magician fight by pointing Roman candles at each other. That resulted in a lost eye.

so he's 15 years old, up in his bedroom alone with his girlfriend and all hes interested in doing is messing around with fireworks?
