Lets be hounest though, none of the diesles had the fastest drivers onboard, and for some reason Peugeot decided to put the drivers most liable to go and bin the cars in.

Still its a fantastic result for DeFerran, HPD and everyone involved in the development of the ARX-02A, roll on Saturday!

the petrol p1 cars were outpacing the sometimes dervs in qualiy last season, the audis and pugs will have the longer stint pace in the race due to fuel consumption
 
Yes, your right, but from a situation last year where there was such a difference between the Petrol and Diesel cars that they may as well have been in there own class, its a good show.

Are the ALMS rules this year still aimed at drawing LMP1 and LMP2 together? Cos that Lola/Mazda thing looks really funky, would be good to see them up front too.

For LMS atleast, they have reduced the fuel tank size in Diesels to try to limit this, although Audis move to a V10 over a V12 may have recovered some of the lost advantage. Dunno if this rule applies in the ALMS
