Alpenföhn K2 fit In a fractal design R3?

Hi all

I was actually looking for the Silver Arrow, but it is hard to get for a nice price here, so I was thinking about buying Alpenphön instead. Do any of you guys know it if can fit in there? maybe anyone have some personal experience with this combination

Yup, it has clearance for coolers up to 165mm tall so the K2 will fit.

Yeah I was actually reading this I have also read that the Silver Arrow can, but some said others

Half cm should be enough to fit the K2 I guess

The Silver Arrow should but some people have mentioned that theirs are taller than the advertised 160mm. My one was fine and fits without issues in my mid tower case. But seeing as how rare the SA is, the K2 is a viable alternative.

Yes I was thinking it could be a nice alternative, and also not so difficult to install have I read

Well I guess that will be the one then, unless someone can recommend a better air cooler for the price? I can get it at caseking at 60 euro I have not seen it cheaper than that now :cool:

The only better cooler is the Phanteks PH-TC14PE which is also slightly more expensive and perhaps a bit too tall for your case at 170mm high with both fans.

Yes at first I was thinking about buying the silver arrow sb-e instead of the old one http://www.thermalright.com/products/?act=data&id=189 but I am pretty sure it will maybe be too snug fit and I will get problems?

It might be a bit too tall at 170mm but it depends how much room there is exactly in your case.

You are right have not seen many statements of that in the R3 probably because the cooler is still quite new.
