A mate of mine is giving the above away. I was wondering if it'll fit a Gigabyte 965 DS3. I know the block is supposed to be for AMD chipsets, but has anyone been able to fit it to the DS3

Don't worry, got out a tape measure and measured holes, it won't fit.

I take it the NBX-n eyelets are too far apart. If so try the Alphacool NexXxos NBX-i4 Northbridge Chipset Cooler, its what I have on the P5Wdh southbridge. and seems to be a standard size as it also fits my DFI NF4 SLI-D board.
None of the holes tie up. The gigabyte NB Heatsinks seem oversized compared to others. I'll keep looking
