wonder web is brilliant my mum used it in my school trousers when i was 11.

If you want something that sticks better than wonder web and will survive hotter washes, try Sew Simple instead. I got some from Wilko's for a couple of quid because my employer only supplies uniform trousers for people who are 7 feet tall. Cut to just over length, turn inside out, glue up the bottom half an inch or so.

Although why you want combat Capri pants in the first place is beyond me.
