My wife has a health plan with Axa, provided by her work. Just had a surgery for my son through their service at a private hospital this week, something which the NHS refused to acknowledge until he was a certain age. Anyway, really happy with the appointments we've had and the care while we were in with him was nothing short of excellent. A far cry from what we've experienced with him while he's been at the local NHS hospital, for a start, they actually wanted to see him rather than trying to fob you off over the phone.
Sorry for the rant... Long story short, I think we pay tiny amounts to have him covered as an extra and wouldn't consider stopping paying for this.
