Hi all, im looking for a music player app for Mac, and wondered if there any alternatives to iTunes... I use Winamp on Windows , is there anything like this on Mac with plugins/skins and so forth? If theres nothing i'll stick with iTunes...thanks :)

When i first got my mac i hated itunes and looked for an alternative, ended up sticking with itunes.
Does everything needed, that and VLC play every video and piece of music fine I have, unless its wma I think!

i used to love winamp when i was on windows, since having a mac i love the ilife software, i cant believe i didnt use itunes on windows, i really love it now.

iTunes is great, wouldn't want to use anything else but if you don't have an iPod VLC is always nice and lightweight.

I was the same.. in fact I didn't want to use iTunes on Windows.

Once I switched I was amazed I went so long without using it!! :D

Not sure what you mean by zoom button?

If you're referring to the Green + icon, then it will go from window mode to full screen mode. Never had issues playing content (video) full screen, so I'm assuming i'm either lucky or haven't noticed a bug haha

Indeed, the green + button. :) Should have made that clearer. Kinda ironic me trashing an iTunes thread too. :)

Ah right yes come to mention it.. I have noticed that!

I always thought it was because it was already in "full" mode per sé :o

It's it how it is suppose to be?
*confused*

Anyway, I've been a WMP user until I switched and thought I'll give iTunes a try (never found a need for change back on XP)

Was surprised how useful it is and was very puzzled why many people out there bash it in forums/help sites. Often because iTunes "can" organise it and people fail to realise they can turn off that setting.

Now I'm using it even on my Windows system downstairs - best thing is, I can share my music from my laptop with my windows system downstairs :D Sharing music on the same network is a blessing~
