Looking for a little help here.

I have a terrible, terrible history with Headsets. I have horrendous luck with them.

I used to run on a sennheiser pair of headphones and a boom mic stand, which was good, but not exactly convenient.

I switched to a pair of Turtlebeach headphones, which despite good care, simply stopped working.

I moved on to a pair of Steelseries Sierra v2 headphones, which again, despite good care, making sure they never snagged or anything, lost sound in the right headphone.

I decided to try wireless headsets. No cords to mess up, right? So, reviews suggest Logitech G930. Unlucky me, I get a horrendous buzzing after a while with them and they start to shut off repeatedly. Tried on multiple computers, same issue. Got a replacement set, still doing it. So either I'm unlucky with hardware faults, or theres a horrendous amount of wireless interference on their 2.4ghz band. As I'm in a block of flats, its a little hard to narrow down.

So, on to a new headset. I'm looking for some advice. Something nice and robust, good sound quality to be used in PC gaming, within the £100 to £150 price range preferably. And something robust!

Any advice would be very welcome.

For £150, hmmm, loads of options, try some of the following, you need to buy a Zalman clip on mic to go with them.

Open Headphones:-
Sennheiser HD 598 (best all rounder)
Sennheiser HD 555 (good gamer, can be modded to sound more like the 598)
Audio Technica AD700 (great gaming headphone, not the best bass, but positioning is awesome!!)

Closed Headphones:-
Beyerdynamic DT770 (very bass heavy card but good for gaming all the same)
Beyerdynamic DT990 pro (IMO better than the DT770 for gaming because less bass)
Audio Technica A700 (nearly as good as the AD700, but with better bass)

I think all those phones can be got for between £100 and £150.

Just got a set of Tritton 720+, not sure how they compare to the above but is definetely the best sound I've ever had in games.

I also owned a g930, for me they were very uncomfortable and the trittons are very comfortable and also blow the g930's out of the water for sound quality.
