Alternative to Xi-Fi

How long is the D2X? I'm just wondering as my PCI-E 1x slot is right next to the 16x slot. It would be sitting tight against my 8800GT (stock cooler), so probably would obstruct the air intake. D2 might be a better bet for me.

Same as me, would have to opt for the regular PCI version as otherwise it'd block the air intake for the graphics card. Don't need a power connector for the regular PCI version anyway, so is probably a better bet :)

I just ended up getting the d2x for a bit of future proofing - I plan to hang onto it a good while. I'm also not really fussed about high end gfx cards these days, so I'm running a single slot card :) They are fairly close together though, so if you think that's an issue you most likely should go for the pci one.

Do report back here please fella, I'm very interested to hear what you think about it (sorry pun unintented lol).

Well had it running for a while now - absolutely no problems so far :)

Sounds mint - I like the packaging and adaptors etc you get (dont forget you need floppy power lead :)

The software is very easy to change just like the Xifi... the difference is no crackling and screeching.

Expensive.... yes ... but it seems to work so am happy again.
