Alternative Way to Run Program without Disk?

Sorry if this isn't the appropriate part of the forums to post in.

I have a program that needs the DVD inserted into a DVD drive at all times. Problem is, I want to use this at my desktop but I do not have a drive, is there anyway to create an image of the disk that will allow the program to think the actual disk is in there?

Virtual image mounted or do such things as no cd cracks still exist?

So will creating an image of the disk actually keep the DRM? I'll give it a shot anyway.

Get a cheap external drive

I know it's an extra cost but who knows you might need it for another disc in future.

Will have to as I just found out the disc has Securom DRM and can't be copied (as fair as I'm aware anyway).

Now my question is, is it worth investing in a blu-ray drive?

And it works for DVDs that are secured by securom? I thought that was basically impossible?

Not sure, it works on everything I've tried it with in the past.
