Alton Towers - Fast Track tickets - Can they be "shared"?

I'm amazed at how people need so much luggage, for anything up to a weeks holiday I manage with just a rucksack and shove it under the seat.

Also, a few of the bigger rides have single rider queues, which are often effectively the same as the fast track if you're on your own

May not be practical with small children but, whenever we go as a group of adults, we always use the single rider queues. Straight on without queuing at all most of the time, often you'll get on in a group anyway but, even if you don't, it doesn't really matter if you're not together on the ride.

My missus is a demon when it comes to luggage and flying. She will literally take up every available kg/lb that is available to her. This normally includes packing the hand luggage well beyond the 7 to 8kg allowance on the basis that a number of airlines dont check.

It caused an issue on an internal flight from Orlando to NYC recently when United rumbled the wife, and we basically had to throw away about 2 to 3 kg worth of stuff because she had overloaded us.

My last trip family holiday =

8 x suitcases at 23kg each....yup ebvery available kg was used.
4 x hard hand luggage pieces varying from 5kg to 14kg
1 x hand bag (missus)
2 x laptop bag (mine and missus)
1 x 4 foot Minnie Mouse soft toy
2 x car child seats
2 x buggys

I was close to an anxiety attack before we even got to check in, let alone trying to fit it all in to our rental vehicle!

I went travelling around Italy for two weeks with my girlfriend. We had 1 piece of hand luggage each and managed just fine.

Not sure why anyone in the world would need so much junk.

Always worth getting the fast passes :)

Not sure the platinum one at AT is worth the price though.

I went just over a week ago on a Friday and the park was dead. The longest I queued was 20mins for Rita. Nemesis, Smiler, Oblivion I walked straight on and did each several times. I was tempted to buy the fast pass before but was glad I didn't in the end!

Awesome! Maybe not 'always' then :p

Mixture of three elements :

1)7 week vacation (Orlando, NYC, London and Singapore)

2)Kids.......

3)My missus is a nutter:D

Lol - that's just plain ridiculous....250kg plus of stuff for a holiday. That's quarter of a ton for a holiday!!!

That's not really an excuse though is it? I'd be surprised if anyone actually has 7 weeks worth of clothes!

Surely you'd take upto 2 weeks worth of clothing and then just wash/iron while over there.

In respect to the suitcases/hand luggage I completely agree with you, we could have done it with half of that.

The rest.....apart from the minnie mouse it was necessary. My daughter would argue that the minnie mouse was necessary!

What's so interesting about the Arctic circle?

I'd argue that someone with a small backpack is likely to be a lot more adventurous than somebody who takes loads of suitcases.
