Right thats the last time i don't listen to a OCUK member, I had a system with a crap 750w winpower psu and i asked if it was ok for my new gpu which was a gtx 480, which as you can tell from the title i didnt listen. So i got my system booted up with my new gtx 480. I was doing some furmark and as soon as i clicked start the system shut down and i was very lucky i did not lose the gfx card :P So i will be ordering a new ocz 850 core very soon :D I have learned my lesson :(

My OCZ M600 blew taking my mobo with it, resulted in an early upgrade to SandyBridge and OCZ said they would not cover the cost of anything else other than replacing the PSU.

Just one experience of course but it was enough for me to avoid OCZ and go back to Corsair PSUs :p

A quality PSU is always better than a cheep one, Nice strong rail/s etc

It must be noted however that Furmark is an insane program that stresses your graphics card to an extent you will never manage in every day usage. It may well be that if you just used the card for gaming you would never have a problem. Furmark has also been reported to kill graphics cards too so I wouldn't be running it often :)

No problem with their ram or SSD's.

Different departments, while they aren't a cheep PSU their fail rate was fairly high for a named brand, no Idea if this is still the case. They did buy out PC Power & Cooling a little while back I believe and their PSUs where pretty well regarded, No Idea if that quality has yet been moved into the OCZ brand as yet and they still make both brands I think.

OCZ have been out of the RAM business for around a year and if you visit the Storage Drives section of the forum you'll find a lot of people who had, and are having, problems with OCZ SSD's.

I think that was mostly down to the SandForce controllers rather than OCZ. It's a shame they stopped making RAM they have been my brand of choice for atleast 7 years, I think they needed the capital to blitz the SSD market though which has worked out very well for them by all accounts.
