Always listen!

Had a corsair HX 620 modular for a few years now cant fault it. had single cards and crossfire running from it no problems ever super solid rails and silent if corsair still has same quality ills stick with them. Previously had a pc power and cooling psu it was also a beast. I lost a darn expensive asus ROG motherboard and water pump to a no brand 600w psu I learnt my lesson from then on. It has been pc power n cooling and corsair only for me since then. The PSU is the bedrock of your system dont ever skimp on it regardless of budget and that goes double if you have any form of water cooling.

I had an OCZ ModXstream 750W a few yeards ago and it was a big steaming pile of turd tbh. Whined like a bitch under any sort of load....

Different departments, while they aren't a cheep PSU their fail rate was fairly high for a named brand, no Idea if this is still the case. They did buy out PC Power & Cooling a little while back I believe and their PSUs where pretty well regarded, No Idea if that quality has yet been moved into the OCZ brand as yet and they still make both brands I think.

I've never had an issue with my OCZ StealthXtreme 2.

However the StealthXtreme I had before that blew up :D

i had a coolermaster GX750
i would reccommend not to use any of the GX psus, its by far the loudest part of my pc and thats with 3x 2000rpm fans on full! opening up mail makes it sound like its gasping for air. so i went and got one of those seasonic XFX units.

I have an Enermax Liberty 620W purchased from OcUK almost 7 years ago.

Originally it powered AMD64 4400+ @ 2.6Ghz & 2 7800GTXs in SLi, and more recently an i5-750 @ 3.7Ghz and a GTX260.

It's been faultless, practically silent and possibly one of the best PC related purchases I ever made. Shame OcUK don't sell Enermax PSUs these days.

My Corsair 620w PSU is running my overclocked i7 2600k and my GTX 570 along with 4 hard drives and other usual stuff :)

OP: I am glad you have decided to listen to us, but there are plenty of people on here that give completely wrong advice too! I tend to wait for a few replies saying the same thing rather than acting upon the first answer.

Plus they are not close to their rated wattage

Got 3 PSU's currently, one as a spare. Can't fault any of them.

Seasonic S12 600W
BeQuiet Darkpower Pro 650W
Enermax Something or Other 600W

Nothing beats a Hiper Type-R, if you want to play motherboard roulette.

Mine went POP !, which made me realise that even when I thought I'd done the right thing by buying a "quality" PSU, I hadn't.

Now running a Coolermaster SilentPro 700W Modular, which was reassuringly expensive. It does run cool and quiet, long may that continue.
