Am I an annoying driver

ummm, sometimes Elise owners think too much of themselves.

I overtook one last year on a section of road where I overtake eveyone.
He was doing the speed limit as normal, but I just wanted to get to work on time so I went past.
Nothing scary, move out, have a look, indicate out, move on past, indicate in.

He rings up my works to have a moan !!!

sheesh, if he was in a Metro I'll still have overtaken him.
Never saw the ponce again, hope he stacked it.

So that little story means that all Elise owners have the same twisted attitude as that one guy? ;)

I never said that ?

just that just cos you are in an ace car, not everyone wants to race you,
we are probably just late for work....

I don't get many people after a race with the GTO I must admit, though that's becuase I drive 'with some enthusiasm' most of the time anyway. Had a play with a scoob the other night but we were both just having a laugh, waved as he pulled off, he waved back. Most sports & performance drivers seem to be the same, generally will have a bit of a play, if the conditions allow and are almost always very polite about it

I do undersand where you are coming from on your regular saloon/hatchback brigade, screaming the backside off that 1.6 under the bonnet of the saxo or the 1.2 corsa rattling itself to death at 90 in a vein ope of keeping up. Get over it - I didn't feel the need to do this in my 1.8 mondeo!!!
 
I used to get it on the bike a lot, though nothing will compare to the time I was out with my dad on the Fireblade and a kid in an Elise thought it'd be a good idea to try and race us off some lights :rolleyes:

Just kidding matey :)

IMO though, on the whole Elise/MX5/VX220 drivers are some of the best drivers on the road in terms of safety etc.

Wait did I really want to say that? It just sorta came out... Er... better put the flamesuit on just in case :p
