...But when my car is clean... it feels better to drive.!

..Does anybody else ever get this feeling?

Doesn't feel like it drives better if that is what you mean, however I prefer driving it when the car is clean, so I guess I feel better about driving it.

Yup, even though my car has a duff gearbox at the moment, once I'd given the inside a good vac out and done a concourse clean on the outside (including wheel removal and arch degreasing) it felt much nicer to drive, purely because it was a nicer place to be.

It's a placebo, but who gives two flying farts?

Yes after a good polish the air flows over the car better making it 0.00000001 seconds quicker to the magical number of 60. :p

Don't forget it's now lighter too due to less dirt on the car, allowing for 0.00000010 seconds faster to 60.

I find after my car has been to the garage and you get back in it. It feels strange, sorta of a bit new, and it feels different/better to drive for the first few miles. Probaly all in my head ;)

I think this everytime my cars serviced :o

I was thinking of this when I polished my motor last week, and yeah, it does feel better to drive; as others have said though, it's a placebo effect and within a couple of days it goes back to feeling grotty lol.

My car feels better to drive after car wash every time because the damper/spring were dirty, power washing cleared the mud off so they can function more smoothly.

Or am I imagining this? :p

This is why I can't understand people who drive around in totally filthy cars with more rubbish, dust and junk inside than your average chav-flat.

I guess to some people a car is just a way of getting from A to B, they don't care how it looks as long as it does its job.

I haven't cleaned my car in about 3-4 months, it's filthy, but whenever I've had a spare hour, I've always thought of something more important to do. :)

Same with people who look after their computers, some people have them on the floor sucking up dust, dog hair and crisp packets and caking the entire system with dust, where those who love their PC place it off the floor, fit dust filters, and clean it out once a month. :)
