Before you say always buy from overlockers they didn't have any cheap am2+ boards in stock .

From this retailer i RMA'd my asus motherboard(about 6 months old) since the the pcb had started to peel off from the fan area and none of my parts would work on it.(i tested all of my other parts to make sure they work) and a employee said it would be fine to send back to Authorised my rma.

The retailer rejected my rma by saying "Fan track has exposed on the board" without even testing the board now i have the option to send it off to asus for repair or have it sent back to my house.

Should i be able to get a refund or not?

Thank you for reading.

When i booted up my pc as i do everyday i smelt something burning so shut my pc off, upon closer expection i found the area by the fan header peeling. I only has a 1000rpm fan running off the header and everything was perfectly fine before.

They said they would send the board to asus to attempt to repair it since it's under warranty.

Rejected won't mean it will be a free repair. It means it's been rejected due to damage caused by you. Atleast, that's how I read the above. By any chance, is this the main competitor to OCUK and ryhmes with stan? I found them in the past awful for RMA. Literally, awful.
I still don't get what has happened without a pic of the fan header. It sounds like it has burnt out?
Yes they already sent the email for me to fill out then they will return it for free since it's under warranty.
Yes your right, first and last time i buy anything from them.

Here is a pic of the same thing that happened to my asus p5kc board

To be honest if I had two different boards that had the same issue then I'd look at the fan you are plugging into the header.. It looks like it's drawing too much current which, over time, degrades that part of the board.

I might be wrong, but to get to different boards to have the same failure, especially something as uncommon as that is highly unlikely.

They had different fans running on each board the old one use to run nexus real quiets so i'm sure it's not drawing too much.
