Urghhhh

Over the past week I have had two motherboards die on me, a Gigabyte Z97X-SOC then it's replacement a Gigabyte B85M-D2V. I have now changed the PSU just in case it was that, it was a Corsair HX 650 which is not exactly a cheap one. Have I just been really unlucky or is there something more?

A number of years ago I had a HX620 take out two motherboards, it may well be a faulty PSU.

If we assume the OP isn't carpet for a minute... Seems like a faulty PSU could be to blame but I've no idea how you'd find out... Did you try the 'dead' boards with a different PSU? Maybe one of the pins in the cables has become dislodged?

i agree it might be worth swapping psu for different brand

2 boards shouldn't break that fast imo unless you are cursed

I've got a superflower now. I haven recently changed rooms so it may be cursed.

any other equipment die? could be power surges also, worth bearing in mind

just keep your eye on things now and see if it lasts longer

I have belkin one, which still has the surge protection light on. But also the battery on my Sansa clip went the day after my motherboard, was charging it from the mains as well.
