been thinking tonight as ive been tweaking my oc's am i waisting my time?
with the limitations my mem dividers put on my cpu overclock is my graphics card limited to the point were the oc's are a waist of time unitl i get either a cpu that runs faster or better memory so i can oc further?
 
Your motherboard will never get the 1:1 RAM option :(. I've got the RAID version and was looking forward to some nice overclocks on a similar system spec to you but looking around the 1:1 option is not supported for 200MHz FSB CPUs.

I'm expecting to get upto about 2.8GHz on mine, with the RAM pushing 600MHz.

is there no option to install some 1066 ddr2 to give a better overhead for the oc? only this was my next port of call as it would only give about a £20 defasit to achieve this :(
and am i missing out on performance from my card because of this shame really as its a really nice mobo aswell.

I wouldnt be so hesitant but A.im really restricted to matx B.really dont like the idea of owning asus and the price for the offering to compete with the g33m is a little overpriced for me when compared to the gigabyte i own.

Yeah you could put in faster RAM, I'm going to be using Crucial Balistix which should be good for upto about 600MHz, but with the poor divider options it'll limit me to a max FSB of about 340MHz.

The Asus board has the 1:1 option so is a lot more flexible, but doesn't support RAID :( .

The main thing that puts me off the asus bored is the customer support horror story's ive heard from people and friends on forums and in person going as far as a struggle to even get through to any sort od person to acknowladge an rma needs to take place. Raid isnt a problem for me as i have no real use for it but the fact it lacks this feature really doesnt offer favour to the price, allthough one could argue the 1:1 divider is the premium i suppose
