Am i stupid?

Cockerels protect hens, set and "gaurd" the hens and their routine of laying eggs, a **** isnt necessary, but i'd say its highly reccomended you have one.

You would think... I remember going to my uncles farm and seeing a badgers handy work... the **** had **** itself and was at the top of the tree... chicken **** ;)

But my grandad got the badger in the end :)

Chicken is the animal/bird/foul.

Booking or sending off? ;)

Compared to a cockerel, they make sod all noise. Don't believe the cartoons, cockerels will crow at any time of day.

I can vouch for this. Workmate was arguing for years with his council about two cockerels living in allotments near him.

It was all hours all night.

A badger is a ball of muscle and claws. I wouldn't fancy one if I was a cockerel either.

Yeah I remember going camping and there were cockerels near. Constant noise... not good when you're sleeping in a tent! :(

My neighbour would hang me from her aerial dryer if we got a **** in the garden.

When I say ****, I mean cockerel of course.

chicken : human
hen : woman
cockerel : man

you just need hen's (they're usually just referred to as chickens though), get them as chick's they're really cute :)

watch out for badgers and foxes though (depending on where you live), you may need a 6-10 foot fence around them, and they'll need a coop

you can feed them barley (ask a nearby farmer for a sack, will last forever) and things like vegetable peelings
