Am I the only one who doesn't seem to 'get' Twitter?

I honestly don't see the point.

I remember signing upto it simply because it's free advertising but I haven't really used it and from what I can tell it's just Facebook status updates and thats about it?

Can anyone explain it better? :confused:

Right, but what about if a family member ever needs to contact him in an utmost emergency when he isn't at home?

There is no privacy in this day an age, and I can recall several times having a mobile being necessary, to avoid having one due to being paranoid about people knowing where you are is frankly ridiculous.

He's on the internet, so already his privacy is exposed. If someone with half a brain REALLY wanted to find out about him they could, simple as that. So considering he's already exposed. Tefal proved this and he's not even a hacker!

But not having a mobile phone simply because he doesn't want people to know where he is yet posts on a public forum is kinda contradictory

Although it IS entirely possible your someone on my friends list and I just haven't realised. But then again everyone on my friends list has a mobile phone
