A lady at work said that her home laptop wasn't turning on and wondered if i could have a look at it, which i said yes too - was that mistake number 1?
So she brought it in today and i had a look and there was a small issue that was causing the battery not to charge so i fixed that but then noticed that the 9, O, L and . key didn't work so took it apart and all the connections seemed fine so the keyboard needs replacing.
I phoned her up and told her that she can get a keyboard online for about £15 from eBay and then she asks if i can get it, i say yes - mistake number 2?
She tell's me that she'll pay me back (i know she will) and then she asks me what i want in return for doing all this work and i said nothing - mistake number 3?
I genuinely don't mind helping people with their computer problems as it gives me more experience so that in itself is worth it. She's adamant that she get's me something so she said she'll sort that out herself.
So, do you guys think i'm too nice or would you do that same?
