Am I Too Nice?

Ask her to take you out somewhere nice after work if she's decent looking.

Smash her pasty.

Having never spoken to you before Mr Krugga, I'm pretty sure we'd get on like a house on fire. Everytime anyone of the oposite sex is mentioned, you always seem to follow it up with the above the line...

For making this the new phrase in the office, you are officially a legend! :D

To Casdawer - I think points 1 & 2 were fine. If you say that you're doing it for free and they still offer something, then I would go with a few cans of beer. Can't go wrong with that. I've had that for most of the repairs I've done. One guy I think gave me a few spares, stack of CD-Rs, mouse, memory stick and so on.

She is a very attractive lady - probably, early 40's and single but has a kid (FEMALE!) (who is about 20), who is also very attractive but I highly doubt what you guys are now thinking will happen :D

She'll probably get me some beer or something along those lines...

Derren?

Derren Brown?

Cos you are certainly a mind reader :D

I once fixed a colleagues PC, I got paid £20 for it, true story bros!

The way I see it if there were more people like you around on the planet today it wouldn't be so ****** up by greed and selfishness.

Tell her you want to bake pastry with her... :D! and thats the only way you are willing to accept any form of payment.

In all seriousness good on you for being nice, most people are bumheads these days and wont move a finger unless they will be well off. Nice to see some people are still nice.

Thinking about it logically a cheeky response results in a win situation either way. If she's interested you'll stick lucky - or - if she's not interested, she will be too frightened of giving you the wrong impression ever again so you won't end up her perpetual free tech support.

"too nice" is when people walk all over you because they can. Helping out someone you know because you have knowledge they don't isn't that. If they expect it for every trivial thing and you do it, then you're being too nice.

I wouldn't say this is too nice at all.

You havn't tried to do everything for the person and got walked all over.

She just knew you had knowledge on such things and hoped you'd help and she's willing to re-imburse you and what not.

It's a nice thing you did, too nice? Not at all.

Mr Krugga didn't 'invent' that phrase nor did he popularise it. It's been a well-known forum joke for over a year now.
