AM2 board with AM2+ CPU

Hey, just doing some thinking about running a 9850 Phenom on my Nvidia M2N32-SLI Deluxe, will be going for a 8800GTS too.. the new 512MB gpus etc.

I have 2GB Corsair 800Mhz ram, will I really see bang for buck if I get an AM2+ board and the new DDR3 ram? Is it just too expensive at the moment to buy?

Any thoughts apprieciated, as I know the M2N32-SLI Deluxe is a good overclocking tool.

9850 doesn't support DDR3 afaik

A processor doesn't support ram?... errr.. Isn't it the motherboard?

no, the AMD CPU has a memory controller on it. not to mention DDR3 is only supported on intel platforms atm.
