I see hardly any threads about AM2 boards, or more specifically ones that people are overclocking with. I suppose this could be put down to people waiting for Conroe - but does anyone know of any boards for [significantly] less than £100 that will take an X2 3800 to 2.5GHz?
AM2 - does anyone really have any idea?

Yep pretty much, the main problem can be some/most of the mobo's also hit a brick wall, so you can't really get em over 300.
The price drops were also not as spectacular as thought, and because a 6300 will supposedly own anything anyway, not much point unless you're upgrading and wanna keep the stuff for a while and jus upgrade the CPU at a later time
thing is though, i play at quite high resolutions on 20" LCD monitor, i personally wouldn't notice much difference switching from athlon to conroe because at high resolutions there graphics limited, and by the time they are not restricted amds 65nm will be just around the bend, so what benefit does conroe really offer IMO, minimal at high resolutions and i come to conclusion its just so people can brag about getting 11 seconds in super pi, who cares?

My asrock doesn't have much in the way of overclocking features but it pushes my sempron 64 am2 all the way to 2.5ghz on stock voltage and vcore and is rock stable as well, not bad for £46.
