AM2 performance preview.....

Pretty much what I expected TBH. But yea, the lower power consumption is a big plus for silencers. You should be able to passively cool 35W.
 
nothing unexpected really.
The talk about AM2 being around for years to come might not be quite true. THere is pseculation that an AM3 socket will come out for when the chips star to support DDR3. I hope this is not the case as i am likely to get an AMD AM2 when i get my new computer with upgrading in mind. Although the Conroe is looking like it is gonna be faster, a good AM2 platform is gonna be great for future, low cost upgrades.
Here is hoping anyway.
 
Would have been good to see a few more multi tasking benchmarks as i would have thought that would benfit more from the exta bandwidth.
