Hey guys,

Wondering what's the best option here.

1). Coolermaster Hyper 212 Plus (for £14.99 inc.)
2). Gelid Tranquillo (for £25.99 inc.)
3). Thermolab Baram (sans fans) (for £20 2nd hand.)

I'll also need to get some TIM remover (don't really want to use nail varnish remover :p) which is around £5 iirc.

Budget is pretty much anything, but obviously I want to spend as little as possible.

Will be cooling a 955BE @ 4.0GHz (1.4v at the most) in a CM Elite 330 case (yes, meagre two 120mm fans).

From reviews I've read the Tranquillo is about 1'c cooler than the Hyper 212+ (but reviews I've found are only on a 920 D0) and from a members experience (MOOGLEYS) it runs his 955BE (same stepping as mine) at 58'c.

Which is the best option,

Cheers guys!
Alistair

Grab a Hyper 212, and stick two decent fans on it, I don't think the Tranquillo can compete with it in push pull. Not sure about the Baram, although I would prefer something that was new personally.

EDIT: And there's nothing wrong with using nail varnish remover, or in the past even very strong alcoholic drinks lol.

Look at the performance with dual fans, for the money I don't think it's beatable to be honest.

Dual fan looks good to me. Beats the Gelid then, and iirc correctly will about be drawing with the Fenrir.

Okay, thanks :)
