AM3 CPU cooler

Too bad you aren't close. I need some more Isopropyl. Not easy to go out and buy. Can order online 100ml for £4.00.. and 5 ltr is like £10-15 from a commercial supplier :(

There are all kinds of coolers you could consider but bottom line TS120 is about as good as it gets for the price. And I won't be surprised if your temps drop 20c at full load from what you are getting now.. especially with added case fan/fans.

If you are considering a long term investment for use on future builds maybe something bigger/better.. but your present case limits us to at 163mm clearance

Alpenfohn Matterhorn Shamrock Edition £31.98

Prolimatech Black Megahalems £29.98 plus have to buy fan/fans for it

Might need TIM with them too.

Really the Alpenfohn Matterhorm is a good deal too. But is it worth the extra money?

Yea true, i think the cheaper oneshould get me buy. Can always look at another when it comes to a new upgrade
I should set up a little supply ring!

is it possible to just look over my last couple of questions..
Will my board work with the PVM for 2-3 fans?
Theres a default function in the setup (Asus Q-fan) does this need to be enabled or disabled in order for the PVM fans to work from the board.

I'll go ahead and order if thats it. Thanks for all your help

Your motherboard does PWM control.
Do you mean can you run 2 or 3 fans directly off of motherboard?
Or do you mean run them using the Akasa PWM splitter? The PWM splitter will work no problem I had 8 fans running 2x 5 way splitters daisy-chained together. 8 is probably close to limit of what PWM signal strength can handle but it did work no problem so running 3 or 4 is a cake-walk. I run 5 on my main system and ran it for a year with 7 and never missed a beat. I've just improved my setup so 5 do it all; 660rpm idle and never above 1100rpm at 100% load. Normal max is about 900rpm.

Thank you for listening and saying thanks. Glad to be able to help out others. Helps me pay back all the help I've got over the years.

I believe that it is via Asus Q fan option that you can use the PWM fans.

Check your manual / internet as to how Asus Q fan works - I would expect that you will have to make 2 or 3 choices but as it does appear to vary a little board to board and I have no experience of your particular board you are best relying upon your own enquiries.

The physical set up is straightforward - you may find the reviews section of the splitter link I provided of interest in this regard :)

Summary - sorry for largely repeating what has already been said - I am just too slow in thinking/typing

Great i'll go ahead and order.

I'll monitor some temps now and drop you a message with any results i see once installed.

Thats good to know, is pvm a motherboard function regardless of whether Asus Q fan is enabled in the bios? Or do i need to disable Q fan for this to work.
i think that was the question i was trying to get across.

No its appreciated. I'll let you know how i get on.
