AM5 Slow Boot times

I just took the plunge and updated my motherboard bios  My motherboard is the Gigabyte B650 AORUS ELITE AX. I was on the original F1 bios, now updated to F4b (released on the 21/02/23)

Boot times are much better now with EXPO enabled. I've only done two or three boot ups so far so the memory training may reappear at some point but there's definitely a marked improvement overall.

The bios programmers for some reason decided to do a full USB Port scan of all devices during post and again during boot up so it can technically help windows load faster...the issue is it works at bios speed not CPU speed and the more USB devices you have.. the longer it takes. To get normal boot times with the occasional memory re-training do the following:

#Fixes the Post Delay (Before MB splash screen)
1. enable the feature to limit retraining of the memory (You've already done that)

#Fixes the boot Delay (After MB splash screen)
2. Under the boot menu. Set boot to Ultra Fast and Disable the USB. This stops it from scanning and trying to load all your usb devices into memory to prepare for boot. Keyboards and mic will still still work in the 2 specific ports on the back... Usually the lower 2 of the slowest ports.

This fixed my boot and reboot times to under <30s for cold boot and <40s for a restart.
