Amazing - M5 Tourer

All that work for something that'll probably be still regarded as a fake by some enthusiasts.

I wonder why he didn't re-shell it back into a saloon body and keep his M5 "genuine" ?

Still, what a job! - stunning!

I think I and many others would have taken one look at the loom and walked away!

Will be fake until he tears it away.
I think he wanted to create something unique, can't say I have ever seen another E39 M5 tourer. :D

Also, looks a lot more of a sleeper.

Wow, very impressed!

Found this bit amusing:

Booking it in was interesting.. "I would like to book in my e39 m5 tourer please", "err, they dont make one." "I know but i have one.."

It's just so wrong that, to me, that is one of the best cars I have ever, ever seen :(

This is because of one of the essential truths of motoring - wagons are always, always cool.

Especially if they happen to be bloody rapid as well....

i think that has pipped my previous fave wave wagon which was a cossie lump in a sierra estate.

incredible amount of work, and best of all.... he did it all for less than what he got from the insurance for the M5 in the first place!!!

seriously impressive! has some very good/useful mates by the sound of it too! :)

Impressive job, awesome car, and 'almost' unique.

Apparently the head of BMW's 'M' division used to own one (perhaps he still does). Basically the same thing, took a 540, and got it turned into an M5 tourer in the factory! So I guess you could even call that one an 'Official' M5 E39 tourer.

Anyway, awesome 'home' conversion job :) E39 Tourers are great cars.

Want....well, want it less than I want something ridiculous and American since it's still a BMW. But want it rather more than a bone stock E39 M5, and want it about 5 billion percent more than a current M5.

I assume by your comment that you've never driven an e60 M5?

Sod the looks, its about what its like as a drivers car, which it is commonly agreed, the current M5 whilst looking iffy at best,is one of the best drivers cars out there.
