Amazingly bad anger problems due to gaming

guilty as well :o, although been a while since last happened. depends on mood i think which is then triggered by frustration in game. game that probably has caused the most is CoH mostly due to pathfining which causes stupid tank losses

Never with fighting games, but the BS in the CoD series combined with my friends shouting all the time does make me shout occasionally.

If I'm not playing with friends I normally turn off the console and walk away before it reaches that stage.
 
Probably the closest I've come were the drift lap achievement in Forza 3 and the combat challenges in Arkham Asylum. Fortunately, both felt like I'd manage them if I just practised, rather than them just being unfair BS, and I managed both in the end.
 
I know someone who does similar to what you describe, I find it hilarious, maybe its because im amazing at games but I only ever get angry when a game is physically giving me cheap deaths with almost none of my input, if I die on black ops then fairplay.
 
Guilty.

I actually raged earlier playing BO and getting constantly CG/dog raped. Had a bunch of absolute retards on my team in a game of Domination. None of whom were trying to capture anything and three of them must have been playing with their tongues as they were 2-34, 3-27 and 1-20.

I tend to only play COD with friends as this crap tends to happen quite often I find.

I'm the same with all the games of the COD series .. yet others like Battlefield and so on don't bother me at all, I keep saying I'll never buy the next COD game due to how MAD and ANGRY the online multiplayer makes me but I do .. :rolleyes:

raged on fifa in proranked yeah. And in my current club we are leading 3-0 (3 assists from me) but we have a player controlled goalie who is utter crap :( didnt save a thing. They have 3 attacks entire game and get 3 goals so 3-3. Was raging after that lol.

ive raged plenty on console fps (try not to play them so much now) but rarely on pc fps. On a pc fps (bf2142) i felt much more in control of my destiny so i would be in a state of zenlike calm....at times it felt like i was in a John Woo movie it was almost like an art form how i would lay waste to the enemy :) Its kinda weird but if you have been in the zone you know what im talking about. Its like your Neo and you scythe through everyone with a ballet like grace and speed. And then in amongst the battle and death you would come up against another "untouchable" and then the fun really begins. Ahh good times.
 
Ive never raged at a game, but i do find it hilarious when friends rage after being killed on CoD or BC2. As strange as this sounds i actually find it fun being killed on BC2 having a wall blown out in front of you i find awesome.
 
Quite rarely, I once restarted an endurance race in GT5 by accident after about 4 hours, the controller went straight for the wall and never worked again :(

Youve just totally made me miss PC gaming :( I used to love that feeling when everything went my way on CS Source. Know exactly what you mean about finding your nemesis too!

I guess you can expect a lot more of that with it being a free live weekend kids boosting friends via secondary/new accounts.

2142 were the days!! how much i miss that game! scrimming, i never ever raged on that game, pretty much what you said.
 
I remember back in the day I used to play and arcade game that was in our local chip shop. I cant remeber the name of the bugger now but everyday after school for well over a year I would go into this chip shop and spend my dinner money on this game. One one occasion I had a really crap game that ended within 5 mins. Now considering I played this game for over a year everyday I actually had the highest score ever on it. Ah you know what Iv just remembered it was Silk Worm oh man I loved that game. Well anyway after being robbed of my 10p I left the shop and I actually burst into tears and sulked home f'n n jeffin all the way I think I was about 14 at the time. Ah the memories
 
I've broke two controllers playing fifa 11.

Not proud of it but that game makes me rage like no other.

I've also smashed a keyboard playing unreal.
 
Yep, usually FIFA and COD, although sometimes on other games with annoying mechanisms that send you back a whole level for one tiny error, or where the answer is so unobvious that you spend ages looking for it and getting nowhere.
 
I have gotten annoyed playing online Street Fighter but never offline, well annoying stuff happens offline but I never feel cheated or impaired because of lag.

Call of Duty annoys me for being...well Call of Duty, it's just laggy on consoles and it's the same on PC since it no longer has dedicated servers in the new ones, I don't rage on Counter-Strike at all though.

Persona 4 made me rage though...spend 20 minutes on a boss fight only to get one shotted at some point later on. FUUUUUUU.

Actually Persona 4 has a few examples, I didn't save for a while and lost an hours worth of experience points/money/items...yeah that is always annoying grrr!
 
I haven't raged for about 2 years but tonight I did. It's not the game(s) it's the connection on consoles with the P2P management going on with virgin media. Not amused at all!
