Can be more dangerous to be honest. Besides, last thing you want is for these morons to adapt and start aiming for throats and limbs.

Are they emphasising the £6 just to show that she is a cheapskate or something?

Who the hell cares how much the ****ing bra cost?!?

I think it was to show that a £6 bra is still very good quality as in it can withstand a stab from a knife.

Its just convenience really, most bras come with an underwire and it was just pure coincidence that the knife got caught on that part...trust the sun to come up with groundbreaking news on stab-proof bras. I wonder how many retards will go out and buy these bras just because of this..

True. Total luck really.

I'm sorry, but stabbing someone in the chest with a knife is attempted murder surely

I would say so, but attempted murder is far harder to prove than GBH. Sometimes it's better to stick with a lesser charge that can be definitely proven than risk a greater charge that might not be.

To convict for attempted murder you must (at least in theory) prove intent to kill. An action that might kill is not enough, and we don't know what the action actually was in this case anyway. I very much doubt that a bra underwiring would stop a proper stab by catching on a serrated edge, so I think it more likely that the "stab" to the chest was not made with much force and might or might not have been intended to kill. There's no claim that the attacker expressed an intent to kill.

It would have been very risky to charge the attack as attempted murder - a jury would probably have to acquit because intent to kill would not be proven beyond reasonable doubt, and that would leave the attacker free. You can't charge someone with two charges for the same incident, one as a backup in case they're acquitted of the other.

Well if it wasn't for this, no one in the whole world would have ever seen that bra apart from her! :D
