Amazon chat - Should I make a complaint

I spoke to a manager on live chat about it, didn't ask for any free stuff

I have prime and my item didn't arrive on time, I was told it would arrive the next day and it still never did, I was then met with a rude staff member which added to my frustration. I was told the staff member would be dealt with

Poor guy. You sound like you have a stick up the ass, tbh.

Not gonna make any judgements until we can see the entire chat transcript to see what you said to him.

I'm sure that'll make his already crap weekend at work that tiny bit better, but as long as you are vindicated for your late parcel, all is well with the world.

I used to hate people who would say " I spent x amount on this product ". Usually because they were told it would take a couple of days to get a repair done because there was a queue of repairs before them.
The funny thing was, it was the ones who had spent a few hundred and not the the ones who spent thousands...

He just didn't need to drop that sarcastic comment though, I'm sure other people would have spoke to a manager about it

And you didn't need to fly off the handle at him. The item had been despatched, it is no longer up to Amazon WHEN the parcel arrives if the courier has delays.

Again, stick up the ass. The whole thing with 'I spent xxxx money blah blah' sounds like something a soccer mom would say.

Did that one comment really ruin your day so much it was worth trying to get a bloke in trouble at his work place on what is clearly going to be an extra stressful weekend for him, what with so much additional trade that will clearly result in a few things being late?

I think I would have laughed at the guy for being cheeky.

Its frustrating but you were just fishing for more freebies. The five quid was a decent enough gesture.

How valuable is this item lost in transit?

Id hazard a guess its some cheap lightning deal tat that you bought on a whim anyway.

Until he posts the chat transcript you can't really say it was bad CS. Two sides to every story.

Indeed.. it could have gone

Why isn't my parcel here yet! (toys out of pram)

Sorry sir, let me look into that for you.

I dont want you to look into it, get my parcel here today! I spent £4.40 with you each week on pacifiers and it didn't arrive on time this week!

Sorry, if you give me a second i'll find out what I can do.

Not good enough bla bla bla.

Person snaps and gives sarcasm.

(may not cover actual events)

I'm just surprised that a person who clearly is very busy and has to receive packages straight away due to his non stop lifestyle has the time in the day to post a thread on a forum, reply in it and then speak to managers!

How do you do it all, what is your secret? ;)*

*Please don't don't report me to the mods for sarcastic comments :(

No he didn't, so don't feel guilty, it'll be reviewed, if they feel he was rude it will be dealt accordingly.

No need to post the transcript, you said someone was rude and came to see whether reporting it was justified, the answer is yes. Asking "Is this rude?" is another topic and not one you need to engage in, and though might otherwise come about, probably won't given the moron content of this thread already.

No need to worry about those using their wonderful imaginations to set themselves up as the hero or others who simply think that being rude is ok.

Yeah, and I'll bet you're fun at parties.

OP was clearly fishing for freebies after he already got £5 off of them. Come off it.

It's upset the OP because the truth hurts and he didn't appreciate someone pointing out the triviality of something it seems the OP was quite worked up about.
