Amazon codes on eBay - wtf?

Moving money from a paypal account to a bank account wouldn't show up as any spending...

What godforsaken bank were you using? Normally you just select the increase online and you get accepted automatically if you're a student.

Barclays don't let you increase the student overdraft online.

If I moved the money into my bank account and then payed for whatever using my debit card it would show up on my statement that I spent £xx.xx amount at Amazon. The reason I have to do this with amazon is because they don't accept paypal.

Some people don't have credit or debit cards with which to buy things on Amazon. Their only means of paying for something is with PayPal. If something is £30 on Amazon and £40 on ebay they'll be prepared to pay a few quid extra for an Amazon voucher through ebay because they'll still end up saving money.

I'm sure there's a number of reasons. Maybe they can't get an account because of a bad credit rating. It could be that they don't know they can ask for a basic account. Perhaps they prefer the relative anonymity of PayPal.

Maybe they are miles away from a shop to get a gift certificate for someones birthday. So paying 60p for delivery isn't that bad?

Ebay is full of idiots that ruin the second hand market, people often bid more than a brand new item costs. Eg, D7000 camera costs <£600 brand new, but people often bid more than that for a used one, they are a cancer on the world.

Yep. It's usually when someone has put an early bid in on an item and then been keeping an eye on it over the 7 or more days. So they are then determined to win that one.

When i lost my original ebay account due to ID theft i had to start from scratch. I had a £35 credit to my paypal account so i went about buying odd codes and guides. Complete waste but managed to get my rating up pretty quickly and I was able to sell again without any problems. Funny how just a gold star makes people trust you automatically.

Dont knock e-bay, wife can make a fortune buying tesco bags for life (designer ones) and selling them on ebay (listed as tesco bags for life), buy for £3, sell for £15..

Always amazed at the things people will buy on ebay, probably the same people who won't buy a round at the pub as their too tight :)

Dumb people. Sold my 775 remains on there for £270. I got offered £110 on here and I would say it was worth £130. A guy paid £125 just for my Rampage Formula motherboard.
