Amazon Fire or alternative

I'm looking into getting an Amazon Fire box for media watching and loading Kodi for movie playback

I've had one before so I know are a good box and suitable for what I need but my question is....is there a now tv app for them or is there an alternative that can run Kodi and offer now tv subscriptions

The reason why now tv is being considered is because of the subscription to sky Atlantic etc (I've got Virgin Media TV) for when Game of Thrones returns

Any help would be appreciated

Looks like a new version is due soon, current one is no longer available to buy.

Yeah seen the new version but don't fancy the voice control bit so going to pick up a refurb or second hand

Just in case you are not aware you need the new one if you want to use both 4k & HDR together. The old ones do not do HDR and some do not do 4k.

There's going to be a new intermediary one as well thats better than a fire stick but not as fancy as the alexa equiped cube model.

Dont think the Fire TV does NowTV nothing on mine unless you can sideload it.
Roku do Nowtv but not kodi.

last months iteration
A smart device that supports Amazon, Netflix + Now TV
as soon as Roku 4k gets to UK shores - wont it clean up, ok so just plex, but the available services (especially for 4k) are important.

Cheers, was ideally after something that could run Kodi too but doesn't look like any one box will run it all
