Was looking at the Raspberry Pi 2 looks good if it can play 30gig 1080p DTS files ok thats fine with me and load kodi its for our main Samsung tv in our living room. Dont really want another pc. We got a HTPC and laptop tablet phones exc for surfing

Should do they just can't do HD audio very well.

What can it do and can't do Cyclone was looking at one myself everytime i look at reviews they always put me off im trying to get something without paying over the odds and im tech savvy so getting something that does what i want is the tricky part LOLOL

I had chrome cast and I was not happy. Main problem was missing remote and not to be able to stream AC3...

I recently got a Fire TV Stick, after having a couple of Chromecasts for ages now, and whilst XBMC/Kodi is nice I still prefer the Chromecast.

I'm also not sure why a remote is seen as such a big selling point really, especially when it comes to searching, or logging in to accounts, anything that requires text input is horrible on the remote, using a smartphones on-screen keyboard is about a billion times better...

But ultimately, other than Kodi and Amazon Prime (the latter being why I got it, the same TV has a Kodi box hooked up already that's far better than the Fire TV Stick) they both fill very similar roles, just get there in slightly different ways.

There's a couple of apps I use on my phone, Movie HD (HD Cinema) and one for streaming live football games. It does these very well on the tv. You can also add a usb stick with films/pics/music and play it back. One film I tried had 5.1 dts and it played it with no problems, even with skipping through it.

For the price it does what I wanted it for.

Add your Google account and you can check emails, web browse etc. What your phone does you should be able to do on this.
