Amazon item review request emails?

I managed to get into the top 500 reviewers, I’ve always been unindated with these refund by PayPal requests, I’ve only accepted twice both several months back. Last week Amazon wiped all my reviews and took the ability for me to review products away. I’ve sent emails asking why but I’ve been ignored.

Did a quick Google search and seems there are plenty more like me so be cautious, I think Amazon are setting a few ‘traps’. You’ll know when you’ve been hit as the minute you click on the stars to vote/rate this message will pop up...

Wow that seems kinda harsh and extreme. Then again I have read that Amazon have closed peoples accounts for returning too many items, without prior warning.

I am in the top 1000 reviewers and have had a few offers for refunds or freebies, as well as requests for me to amend my reviews from sellers that I have dealt with.
I was holding out for a 65" OLED before caving

Remember how The Shed, a fictional restaurant became the top rated restaurant on TripAdvisor? That's the power of reviews and stupidity.

I was really annoyed as I put quite a bit of time and effort in, I was hoping to get offered a Vine reviewer. The higher you get the more cheap Chinese tat you are offered, I easily got offered 3-4 items a day, maybe once a month it would be something tempting. Phone cases are the most annoying, I could have opened a shop had I accepted.

How many hours a day did you dedicate to this? And were you on someone else's dollar when doing it? Fair play to you, I have the attention span of a

Yeah I bet you was annoyed, so would I be.

I do not care about the Vine thing but I do like to leave reviews for what I buy, not all items tho. At the moment my rating is at 813, just checked.
I do enjoy being able to read reviews on products that I want to buy, even asking questions, so I think that it's good to give back.

My own time I’m self employed, probably three hours a week

I'm at around 1,100 at the moment and to be fair that's with almost no effort. My reviews are for my YT channel and I often just throw them up on Amazon. Most of my review requests are based on YT too. Are there any simple things I can do to push my Amazon ranking?

14 Reviews i had.
Received an email via Amazon from AnkerDirect asking me to review a product I'd recently bough (BT Headphones).
So off I go to Amazon, and try and review said headphones only to be told:

Sorry, we are unable to accept your review of this product.
This product currently has limitations on submitting reviews. There can be a number of reasons for this, including unusual reviewing activity.

What a farce. I haven't been paid for the product or the review so I can only imagine that Amazon has flagged up their email to me on reviewing the product.
There was another item on the same order that I can happily review though.

It's why when purchasing I generally ignore the 5/1 star reviews.

A lot of the 5 star reviews are people self gratifying themselves, it's the whole, I chose this product, it arrived and works therefore must be 5 star. Majority of those reviews the product has generally been used once.

And then as per those thread, there will be the paid reviews.

Then on the opposite side of course, the 1 star reviews are generally when it didn't arrive, or was faulty, in which case people are unlucky and use the review as a form of complaint, rather then a description of the product. Also some of the 1 star are just people being genuinely retarded.

So really, I try and focus on the 2-4 star reviews.
