Who are Amazon Logistics? Is this Amazon's own branded delivery company with their own branded vans and drivers? Or do they just use riff raff in clapped out transits to deliver parcels on a self-employed basis like what Yodel and Herps do? Or are they just Yodel/Herps in disguise?

Just had my Amazon parcel delivered by them (according to tracking). They just left it on my door step full view of the road, no knock and no card through the door. They signed the tracking off as being handed to me.

Most self employed drivers if uniforms (well lack of) are anything to go by but my local lot seem to be a good bunch.

Yeah they are pretty much yodel. Someone in transit van basically. I haven't had a problem with them personally. But their lack of asking for signatures is annoying. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't.

Haven't had a late delivery with them though. However they also always are in a rush, so only knock once or twice. Open the door, parcel handed, run basically.

We are lucky, we have a nice delivery guy in our area. Never had any problems with him. If we need to return something we just leave it outside the door for him and he collects it. He also delivers late at night rather than just taking it back to the depot.

ordered a kindle for my mum for christmas.

around an inch of it put through our letterbox, the rest sticking well out. nice and obvious.

Signed for by me apparently.

luckily the delivery only took place an hour before I got home.

very frustrating really.

I order a lot from them. Every time it is a different delivery driver.

It is a business address, sometimes they try to deliver at 10pm+

A few times they pull up outside, sit in their van for a bit and then drive off. I have this on full HD 1080p CCTV. It is actually quite funny, I have no idea why they do that.

Lastly we had one parcel arrive 3 days late, their excuse was "I dunno". :D

not that I am advocating fraud here or anything but what needs to be done with these clowns that leave parcels on random places and then mark that the customer has signed for them is the customer contact Amazon (or whoever they purchased from) and deny having received the item

They are a joke. I've had a quite a few parcels literally thrown over my side gate, even when its raining.

To top it off, the tracking just updated on my delivery today to 'Left with Frank at no.79'
Leaving with a neighbour is fine, however there are only 30 houses in my road so where is Frank!!!

Or just complain that while you did receive the item it was unsigned for and left in a stupid place, Amazon will still log the complaint and no one's losing out.

No they are not.

Amazon logistics are third party self employed couriers from local independent companies usually.

They pay them peanuts and the guys that own the companies pay the drivers pennies a stop.

Would it not be more frustrating if you had a missed delivery and had to re-arrange?

Your item was delivered surely thats a win.

Exactly.

If it's still there on your doorstep when you return, job a good 'un.

If it dissappears, quick call to Amazon for a refund or get another one sent out.
