What is going on with prime recently? This is a paid for service, they recently snook in adverts for other shows on prime but just now I had car adverts. What kind of BS is this?

Was it one of the show pilots?
Their 'Pilot Season' is 'presented by Toyota'. I would imagine you don't get adverts outside of these shows - I've certainly not seen any.
I'm ok with it, on the whole, if they ring-fence the ad-supported content.

Yeah I saw that Toyota one before The Tick and I was mightily furious I can tell you! 
Only watched the first 10 mins of that and it was brilliant.
It's a comedy for anybody interested. He rips on and plays as himself. It's called Jean Claude Van Johnson.
