Amazon Prime delay?

A bit of cold weather and some snow and **** grinds to a halt. Makes you wonder just how countries who have multiple feet of snow as a regular occurrence manage to survive and get things done.

I bet they don't get prime orders delivered in under 24 hours while they have multiple feet of snow.

On the other hand I've received another free trial of prime so I ordered some stuff on Sunday afternoon which was delivered yesterday morning. :D

Same as others ordered something yesterday with ETA of Wednesday, but it's delivered today.

Looks like they're covering themselves because of weather forecasts.

Looks like if i want to order something today on Prime, its now not available for delivery until Monday 5th March, which is 5 days away......yes its cold outside, but the sun is shining and there is no snow/ice on the roads, i know other parts of the country are different which could be causing this impact.

Yes might be bright and sunny where you are, but your goodies still have to come from a warehouse somewhere that may have had loads of snow along with gridlocked transport links etc. According to the tracking on my last Amazon delivery, it came all the way from Stratford to Northumberland.

All my items are arriving. The one I ordered Monday with a Thursday delivery got here today and one item ordered yesterday with a Thursday delivery got here today.

I ordered a few bits today with prime but all said they wont be here until Friday. Glad its not just me who noticed the delays. To be honest though with the weather we're expecting I'll be surprised if it comes by Friday!

Glad I came across this.

I was using one day delivery and it was stating Mon 5th, hang on, 1 day from Thursday = Friday. Should have notified me.

They should give us the £1 of credit if they are going to state more than one day for delivery, because that's what we are paying for.

Might want to read the terms of what you pay for. Hint - it isn't 'one day delivery from order in all circumstances'

Put an order in at 9:15pm Monday, was told it’d arrive Wednesday but it was here before 12 on Tuesday. Can’t complain too much about that!

Except it states "one day" verbatim at checkout, Prime T&C mention if one day delivery is not possible then items will be dispatched with an alternative method.

I live 500 yards from the Dunfermline Depot, we have about 1ft snow, 2ft in drifts. Roads littered with abandoned cars, constant snow showers and just came out of a red weather warning.

Its going nowhere fast either, more showers tomorrow and temperature not to improve until next Monday, would be surprised if anything been in or out of there since Tuesday

It's amazing, the item I ordered from Slovakia on Monday arrived yesterday. The item from Amazon UK ordered on the same day has been delayed again and isn't expected until tomorrow. It's been with my local courier for 3 days now and conditions locally aren't that bad!

Brilliant, my 5th march expected arrived to an Amazon Locker in the Arndale today, happy with that, Amazon is really great, not on the wallet though as it's so easy and convenient to order things!

My package arrived today when they said it would ... although they put it out for delivery yesterday. Yesterday evening though i got many messages from them saying that they couldn't deliver because reception was closed (erm you are delivering to a home address) which I assume was due to someone hitting the wrong button as 30s later I got a pile of messages saying that it would be delayed due to the weather (despite the roads around here being completely passable).

I have a £3k order from OCUK sat with DPD, it's been there 4 days now and I appreciate the roads have been impassible with the weather, but the roads are now clear. I've tried to speak to DPD on the app, they just tell me they are getting around to it and sorting the backlog however a work colleague had a package delivered to the depot yesterday, and his package has been loaded on the van this morning and is due delivery this afternoon, and i'm only a mile away. DPD tell me Leeds depot are refusing phone calls and wont give any info to them, and collections from the depot are not allowed today - so i cant even go collect it.

Always had DPD down as having good customer services, but the treatment i've had over this week has been disgraceful.
