I am currently losing my temper with amazon and feel they now have a 2 tier system for their customers.

I Per-ordered a nokia 3310 (the new version) for my fathers birthday back in June, knowing there was limited stock, My order has been push 2 times now and and it is now showing as shipment date unknown.

Ok so this annoyed me something rotten but limited stock so to be expected.

Last Monday I grabbed a new TV off them, took 4 days to leave the warehouse to be shipped. looking at the reviews people who bought it the same day (was a sale item) had i next day, I however im still waiting for it to be delivered. However the HDMI cables i bought form a marketplace vendor turned up the next day

I now feel that Amazon have dropped their service to non-prime customers to such a point that if you don't pay for it then things are not just normal they are worse.

Cant help but feel that they have got too big for their boots now and if any other retailer tried this crap they would have no customers, just look at Game with their subscription loyalty scheme.

I know some people will say prime is a value product, that maybe the case but i don't think you should be pushed to the back of the line if you don't have it.

I will be taking my shopping else where moving forward.

Not sure what the complaint is here, Amazon have always taken 5 days for standard delivery

If it want it quicker, you either pay extra or subscribe to prime

Took 4 days to leave the warehouse and its been another 4 days and it still hasn't arrived, so we are on 8 days IF it arrives today.
Was free delivery, didnt realise it was free delivery when we get round to it.

don't use prime either, and will wait if necessary until I have items >£20 for free postage.

But if they are optimising their (amazon logistics) delivery service so that my non-prime goods are scheduled less predictably because they need to reserve delivery/packing
capacity (even the products themselves) for those people paying for prime, I do not have an objection, since this will keep prices low. (until they have a complete monopoly)

Their clever advertsing, prime-day and daily deals, is obviously meant to make us feel like 2nd class citizens and make the people who do have prime feel 1st class ;)

I have no objection to not being expedited but i do object to being relegated to sub standard service.

So you didn't pay for prime and are now whining that you're not getting the same service as Prime members? Seriously?

Not at all but feel free to make out that getting sub standard service is perfectly ok.
IF i order something in stock then it should be shipped, not shipped to the guy who ordered later.

I have no problem with the concept of prime, i have a problem with the concept of being treated like a chump.

Its like getting my lunch and having my sandwich taken off me at the till cause the guy behind me has a club card and he wants the last BLT.

It's not sub-standard service. It's service. Prime members get expedited service at a cost. Not that hard is it?

And where in standard delivery does it say that you will wait over 8 days for an item that is meant to be delivered in 5 or over 2 months for a phone that they sold to prime members with preference for stock.?

You still got your TV though didn't you? That analogy is flawed, it's more of a case that they served the clubcard guy/s first then you lot. Unless a prime customer took your TV from your order (which I don't see how that can be proved fully).

Not yet i haven't! True i cant prove it was stock related, but your right, its more like having 10 tills for club card owners and one till for "normal" customers, if a supermarket did that people wouldn't be happy.

just got off amazon customer service,
Item has NOT been shipped at all which is why the tracking wasn't working, They are shipping it today and I should get it tomorrow.

So an in stock item can not be shipped for 8 days and i'm in the wrong for complaining? free shipping with 5 days delivery that is not.

Odds on me getting 2 TVs now?

I have Prime Plus. I get to chose which other Amazon customer I wish to be served before. I only chose people who are nearly named the same as me. This Nokia 3310 is rubbish too, threw it at my new TV that arrived 3 days before I ordered it.

Tell you what, I'll trade you my A4 for your R8 and we can call it even.

True enough, strange they gave me shipping and tracking details for something they hadn't shipped though.

I stand by my claim that amazons service has significantly dropped for standard customers though. At least that is how it feels.

Bet there is no haribo in the box as well.

TV turned up yesterday, box looked a little worse for wear but the TV inside was fine so happy enough to finally get it.

Phone still doesn't say anything and the price on the website has gone up 80% now so i think that is not going to happen anytime soon.
Will have a look in some of the local stores, as this was a gift for my father birthday and its now nearly 2 months late gonna need to sort something out.
