Amazon prime video not full screen

ok this is driving me nuts, tried for hours last night to fix this, Granted I have a 21:9 display but this can't be normal surely?



It's does this weather using the Prime video App or watching via the browser.

It looks like a 16:9 image that's been letterboxed for the wider aspect. The black bars top and bottom are part of the image.

To display that full screen you'd need the display to crop off the top and bottom bars. That would make sense in this case, but not if it was a full screen 16:9 image.

That's how it would display on a 21:9 unless the video is in 21:9 to begin with (not too much on Amazon supports it), when I had my UW I'd run it in a window to the side.

For testing try Edge Chromium as that's currently got the best video playback support.
