Hi, i stupidly tryed to overclock my AMD 3700 about 15mins ago using Gigabyte's EasyTune5. I increase the frequencyn by aboutn 5-8% and now i can get back into windows. It was a AMD 3700 [754] with a Gigabyte K8N motherboard. Is there anything i can do to make it usable again? Please help me! Thanks

UMMM reset the bios back to its its original settings, using jumper on the motherboard. or just pull the bios battery for about 30 secs and replace.

I doubt it's died, probably just not stable.
Have you tried going into safemode and setting it back to the default speed.

yep tryed going back but it wont go past loading my Anti-Virus, then in safe mode it says the freq. is normal (2.4GHz)
When in safe mode save the settings at the default speed on easy tune 5 and it should remove the overclock.

got into windows. Then i got a message saying i should check system date, and some hardware configuration sut, but it frose again when finnishing loading up the programs at the start, one of these being EasyTune

ive got a lot of data that i cant afford to loose, such as coursework and website designs. Could i install windows in my D drive, then remove the C drive so the D drive is the new C drive. Then place the old C drive into the machine again and remote Easy Tune ?
